THE HISTORY
Long time ago, the old house of our neighbor Egle was a whole with our own place. It was a dwelling with 2 floors, 3 chimneys, signaling the presence of three independent residential buildings, in the real style of the Polesine’s peasant tradition.
We renovated Casa Egle, trying to preserve the more that we could the original planimetry.
The walls of the different “bassi comodi” have been torn down (this is the history of the Venetian rural areas, not of a single house, which were sometimes build extremely close or near the main part). They bear this name since they were used to host that kind of activities that did not find place inside the house such us: toilets, secondary kitchens, woodshed, henhouse, pigsty, garden houses and outhouses.
In these places, we later went on recovering the stones of the walls and hollow tiles of the roof, made of baked clay.

Respect for the environment, love for tradition, technology and handmade process melt together to create real artistic products able to amaze and excite.
For the restoration of Egle’s House we only used natural and design materials, respecting the environment, nature and human health.
We offer part of our house, renovated as we have always dreamt about in those years.
The house is externally insulated with cork.
Internally it has walls of rammed earth and in every room a part of the wall has been left exposed, not colored, because it gives the reality of what plastering with rammed earth really means. This creates internally a microclimate, which is ideal for your stay. It absorbs excessive humidity and leaves it back when the climate is too dry.
